Esfuerzos internacionales en el combate a la corrupción

Abstract

El fenómeno de la corrupción, ligado desde hace tiempo al quehacer institucional, pone de plano un reto que los estudios de la comunidad internacional dejan en evidencia: empoderar la transparencia tanto en el sector público como en el privado es indispensable si se quiere pasar del crecimiento al desarrollo sostenible. Dado que este fenómeno pasó de ser un asunto exclusivamente doméstico a entrelazarse con lo internacio-nal, en ese mismo sentido se articulan las respuestas de los estados a través de la generación de Convencio-nes uniendo voluntades y capacidades para hacerle frente. Es esta la razón por la que el presente artículo orienta su contenido a dar cuenta de los diferentes esfuerzos nor-mativos internacionales para combatir la corrupción, partiendo de algunas formas de clasificación del fenómeno.
