La gestión de la innovación en la empresa: evolución de su campo de estudio

Abstract

En este artículo se analizan las bases conceptuales que han guiado la evolución de las investigaciones en el campo de la gestión de la innovación en la empresa. Para ello se realiza inicialmente una exploración del contexto en el cual se enmarca estos temas con el propósito de identificar el campo disciplinar en el cual se ha desarrollado y su relación con los estudios referidos al cambio tecnológico. Seguidamente se contempla la evolución de los estudios sobre innovación realizados por la dirección de empresas, agrupados en tres etapas diferentes que corresponden al dominio de distintos enfoques metodológicos: a) enfoque operativo; b) enfoque estructuraconducta -resultados; y c) enfoque basado en los recursos.
