Disponibilidad a pagar para mitigar las emisiones urbanas: un abordaje desde los hogares, Ibagué-Colombia

Abstract

Acelerar la implementación de acciones que disminuyan las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) es necesario. Por ello, se estimó la disponibilidad a pagar (DAP) de los hogares de Ibagué para mitigar las emisiones de GEI derivadas del consumo de combustibles fósiles y energía eléctrica. Se empleó el método de valoración contingente para conocer la DAP mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas. El 38 % de las 1816 familias encuestadas tienen DAP para mitigar las emisiones de GEI en sus hogares, aportando de manera voluntaria en promedio $33.9871/hogar/ano. Por lo tanto, en el escenario de implementar mercados obligatorios y voluntarios de carbono en el 38 % del total de los hogares de la ciudad, se lograría mitigar entre 3 y 86 % del total de las emisiones (169 mil t CO2 emitidas en los hogares al ano).
