Factores salariales y emocionales asociados a la satisfacción laboral en Colombia en el 2018

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es estudiar la relación y el grado de asociación entre los componentes monetarios y los factores emocionales de los trabajadores en Colombia, con el fin de determinar cuáles de estos están asociados de manera positiva o negativa con la satisfacción laboral de las personas que tienen un empleo remunerado. Se tomaron los datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Calidad de Vida (ECV) del 2018, elaborada por el DANE. De acuerdo con los resultados, se evidenció que la satisfacción de los trabajadores colombianos está relacionada de manera directa con factores monetarios y emocionales. Igualmente, se encontró una relación negativa con la satisfacción laboral, que se explica por factores como no contar con otros salarios o bonificaciones, las presiones psicológicas, las jornadas laborales extensas o un ambiente de trabajo poco digno. Asimismo, en Colombia pertenecer a una etnia disminuye la satisfacción de los empleados.
