¿El desarrollo sostenible como estrategia para abordar la despoblación en el medio rural? Estudio de caso : Almócita

Abstract

En las zonas del interior de Espana, el medio rural sufre un grave problema de despoblación. Los municipios intentan abordar esta situación mediante acciones concretas; sin embargo, son numerosos los ejemplos de ayuntamientos cuyas iniciativas no son suficientemente efectivas. Por ello, se hace necesario el análisis de esta problemática y su abordaje desde un nuevo enfoque: la sostenibilidad. Tomando como caso de estudio el municipio rural de Almócita, Almería, Espana, se analiza su estado socio- económico a través de la percepción de sus habitantes, las medidas tomadas hasta el momento, tanto públicas como privadas, y las iniciativas locales en relación con la despoblación.
