Cadenas de valor: un enfoque para las agrocadenas

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como propósito mostrar elementos de análisis para abordar el tema de las cadenas de valor. Tras una revisión exhaustiva de bibliografía relacionada y aplicada a la agricultura, se dan a conocer herramientas conceptuales que coadyuvan a construir un escenario claro y conducente para que las cadenas logren mejores niveles de competitividad, crecimiento y desarrollo para su entorno. En la primera y segunda parte se desarrolla el concepto de cadena de valor y se muestran los alcances del enfoque; en la tercera parte se plantean algunas consideraciones sobre la gestión de las cadenas de valor y en la última se ilustran dos casos exitosos en el desarrollo de cadenas de valor.
