La Salud en Colombia: ¿Qué tan meritorio y público es este bien o servicio?

Abstract

La controversia en la prestación del servicio de salud en Colombia se plantea desde distintosámbitos, tanto en las instituciones del Estado como en la esfera académica, situación que afectael desarrollo de la política del sector de la salud, por encontrarse este servicio asociado y vinculadocon los derechos económicos, sociales y culturales. Además por el desconocimiento del principioque en esencia le define como un bien que, por sus características, es meritorio .Lamentablemente, en la práctica se convierte en un bien público preferente.
