Organización e innovación en bibliotecas: el caso de la BDCV de El Colegio de México

Abstract

Son escasos los estudios de la dinámica organizacional de las áreas de apoyo de las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES), como por ejemplo, las bibliotecas. Por ello, en este texto se discute la pertinencia de estudiarlas organizacionalmente, y se pondera la particularidad/generalidad de su problemática organizacional. Específicamente, se pone énfasis en la descripción y análisis de los procesos de innovación organizacional desarrollados en la Biblioteca Daniel Cosío Villegas (BDCV) de El Colegio de México, previo abordaje teórico-conceptual de los temas relativos a las bibliotecas y la innovación organizacional. Se concluye que la perspectiva organizacional es tan fructífera que, a la luz de las evidencias del caso, produce conocimiento capaz de cuestionar su misma tendencia a generalizar los problemas de algunas organizaciones al resto de ellas.
