El estilo "DON" en la dirección de empresas

Abstract

Este artículo se deriva de la investigación realizada en el Programa de Administración de Empresas, de la Universidad de Medellín sobre Tres de los últimos DONES antioquenos", ellos son: DON Santiago Mejía Olarte, DON Carlos Manuel Echavarría Toro y DON Julio Ernesto Urrea Urrea. El objetivo que orientó esta artículo fue el de resaltar en estos empresarios su afán e interés por contribuir al desarrollo económico y social de la región. También el de caracterizar y distinguir un estilo de dirección y de manejo de las empresas, tan peculiar como el de los DONES, y con el mismo mostrar cómo han existido hombres de empresa que lograron aunar los propósitos económicos con el espíritu de servicio a los demás. Se utilizó la técnica de historia de vida como método para reunir los testimonios de sus colaboradores y sus ex colaboradores. Esta temática contribuye a mostrarles a los jóvenes otros"paradigmas" humanos que les sirvan de referencia a sus propios proyectos devida y que se constituyan en alternativa distinta a la "hacer dinero fácil o a como dé lugar" sin importar el otro"
