Abstract

Resumen: La integración eléctrica hemisférica se ha convertido en el eje de cohesión y desarrollo en el continente americano. Desde hace más de dos décadas se vienen realizando esfuerzos por interconectar a estas naciones; sin embargo, solo en la VI Cumbre de las Américas (2012), con la firma del acuerdo Conectar a las Américas 20-22, se lograron avances políticos significativos. El artículo presenta la propuesta de integración eléctrica hemisférica, muestra la dinámica del mercado eléctrico, los avances en las integraciones subregionales y los acuerdos y retos que deja la VI Cumbre
