Comportamiento del mercado laboral en el cuatrienio Pastrana: deterioro alarmante

Abstract

Resumen: Este artículo presenta una breve evaluación del cuatrienio Pastrana en materia de empleo. En primer lugar, se presenta un panorama general de la evolución de los principales indicadores del mercado laboral en los noventa. Luego, se realiza una lectura de lo sucedido en el cuatrienio y se resenan las políticas propuestas por el gobierno en el Plan de Desarrollo, así como sus principales resultados. Estos resultados muestran que dichas políticas fueron insuficientes, lo que, conjuntamente con el pobre desempeno de la actividad económica, explican las altas tasas de desempleo y la mala calidad del empleo que caracterizó el cuatrienio analizado.
