Aglomeración industrial en el centro oriente colombiano

Abstract

El artículo pretende analizar las características de la especialización industrial en los departamentos del centro oriente colombiano, partiendo de un conjunto de consideraciones teóricas sobre la aglomeración industrial. Se expone una revisión histórica del emplazamiento industrial en la región, para confirmar la fuerza que adquieren los procesos de causación acumulativa. Al final se aplica un ejercicio empírico que se proponemodelar la influencia o no de los spillover intra industria e inter industria y se enfatiza la común complementariedad productiva de la industria de cada departamento en la región y la función que desempena cada uno de ellos en la configuración del mapa industrial del país.
