Algunas consideraciones sobre la integración económica

Abstract

El artículo examina los elementos básicos de la integración económica haciendoénfasis en los aspectos centrales del proceso y deteniéndose en losúltimos acuerdos existentes en América Latina, como también, en los que seprevee firmar en el futuro. Se destaca los efectos de la integración, resaltandolas ventajas del proceso desde el punto de vista económico y político,lo mismo que, los costos que generaría la integración. De igual manera, sedescriben los avances y los impedimentos existentes con el ALCA. Además,se hace referencia al TLC, centrándose en los efectos del proceso para laeconomía colombiana. Por último, se formulan algunos comentarios sobreel MERCOSUR, destacando el potencial que el país tendría en dicho bloque._________ABSTRACT:The article analyzes the basic elements of economic integration doing anemphasis in the central feature process. Also, this paper checks latest andfutures Latin American agreements.The article focuses on integration effects and costs from economical andpolitical point of view. At the same time ALCA outcomes and boundaries areshowed.This paperwork builds TLC conceptions taking into account the effects inthe Colombian economic process.At the end, Mercosur comments are mentioned highlighting the Colombianeconomic potential into this alliance.
