Abstract

El artículo realiza un análisis tendiente a explicar la evolución que hatenido América en los últimos anos que ha generado un proceso dedesestructuración de sus esfuerzos industrializadores iniciados en los anostreinta. De hecho para llegar a examinar los últimos veinte anos, DosSantos, hace un recuento interesante de los cambios presentados en laregión y la forma como los sectores económicos fueron cambiando sucomposición y su participación en el producto interno bruto. Igualmente,en el ensayo se realiza una reflexión seria y documentada en torno a lainfluencia que ha tenido en los últimos anos el neoliberalismo, losorganismos internacionales y el consenso de Washington._________ABSTRACTThis text deals with an analysis that attempts to explain theAmerican evolution in the previous years which has produced aloss of its industrialization efforts begun in the 30´s.In fact, in order to look over the past 20 years, Dos Santos makes amemory of regional changes and how Economic Sectors havechanged their composition and participation within the GDP.At the same time, the essay analyses Neoliberalism influence,International Organisms and Washington Consense in the pastyears.
