Impacto económico de la violencia de pareja: el caso de dos empresas colombianas

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio fue visibilizar los costos económicos que la violencia hacia las mujeres tiene para el sector empresarial desde la perspectiva de género. Como parte de una metodología ya disenada, se aplicaron cuestionarios previamente validados a una muestra de 172 trabajadores de dos empresas colombianas. El cuestionario evaluó el impacto de la violencia en la productividad laboral desde la perspectiva del agresor y de la agredida, en términos de ausentismo, tardanzas y presentismo. Se encontró que el costo de la violencia de pareja en las dos empresas ascendió a 28.692,68 dólares en el último ano. Este monto en relación con el tamano de la muestra permite comprender la magnitud del problema y el impacto que dicha violencia tendría sobre el producto interno bruto nacional. Se discuten estos hallazgos.
