Impacto de las fuentes externas de conocimiento en la innovación de productos de empresas de baja y media baja intensidad tecnológica

Abstract

A pesar de sus limitaciones, las empresas pequenas y medianas de baja y media baja intensidad tecnológica se plantean el reto de mejorar su capacidad de innovación. Por esto, se propone un modelo probit para estudiar si existe un efecto positivo de sus fuentes externas de conocimiento del mercado y tecnológico sobre su capacidad para innovar en productos, para lo cual se ha tomado una muestra de 826 empresas de la Encuesta Nacional de Innovación de Perú. Los resultados confirman que sí existe un efecto positivo por parte de las fuentes externas de conocimiento, que favorece la innovación de sus productos. Estos resultados pueden ayudar a las agencias que promueven la innovación a enfocar mejor las políticas para las pequenas y medianas empresas en economías emergentes.
