Las capacidades de absorción del conocimiento como ventajas competitivas para la inserción de pymes en cadenas globales de valor

Abstract

El propósito del estudio es identificar las capacidades de absorción del conocimiento como fuente de ventajas competitivas que potencializan en las pymes las posibilidades de integrarse a las cadenas globales de valor. Para ello se realizó una revisión del estado del arte que fundamenta la propuesta de un modelo basado en 2 enfoques teóricos: el de sistemas de innovación y el de cadenas globales de valor. La implementación se realizó en pymes del noroeste de México en los sectores de tecnologías de información y metalmecánica. Los resultados muestran que cuando las pymes locales son proveedoras de empresas transnacionales reciben transferencia de conocimientos que les permiten ingresar o mejorar su posición en las cadenas globales de valor.
