Eficiencia en el mercado de futuros venezolano

Abstract

En los mercados financieros desarrollados es imposible obtener sistemáticamente rendimientos extraordinarios. Esto sucede, entreotras cosas, porque la información es de fácil acceso, existe un gran número de inversionistas inteligentes siguiendo el mercado, y en caso de que haya algunas oportunidades de obtener rendimientos anormales, éstos no dudarán en utilizar toda suinfraestructura tecnológica y financiera para aprovecharlas. El que llegue primero probablemente obtendrá un jugoso bono de fin de ano, sin embargo, es extremadamente difícil ser siempre el primero, y en general es mejor admitir que el mercado en todo momento refleja los precios justos de los activos que allí se cotizan. Planteada en estos términos, es posible estudiar la eficiencia de mercado a través de las posibilidades de obtenerrendimientos extraordinarios; entre mayores sean estos beneficios menores serán los niveles de eficiencia.
