La macroeconomía del déficit del sector público: el caso de Colombia

Abstract

Los resultados econométricos indican un sorprende efecto negativo del capital público sobre la inversión privada, implicando esto que parte de la declinación secular en la inversión privada puede ser explicada por la expansión del sector público. También se encuentra poca evidencia de la contribución del capital público al producto agregado y al crecimiento. El consumo privado por su parte no presenta evidencia de comportamiento ricardiano: el ahorro del sector público no es un determinante significativo del consumo privado.
