Compatibilización de las dos fuentes del ahorro y la inversión: creación de nuevas series

Abstract

En este trabajo se plantea una metodología alternativa para la compatibilización de las series de ahorro y de inversión de las dos fuentes que las han producido. El problema es que el Banco de la República las público de 1950 a 1980 con una metodología muy diferente a la manera como empezó a hacerlo a DANE a partir de 1970.Para el caso del ahorro se construye la serie de ahorro público de 1050 a 1969 con la ayuda de un coeficiente que involucra todas las diferencias que hay entre el ahorro publicado por cada una de las fuentes, para el período en que la información es común. Este coeficiente se obtiene por medio de la ayuda de regresiones entre los componentes del ahorro público de cada una de las diferentes fuentes. El ahorro privado se obtiene como residuo, dado el nuevo ahorro público.
