Patrones de migración en Colombia desde la perspectiva de la teoría de redes

Abstract

El presente estudio se enfoca en analizar los patrones de migración en Colombia desde la perspectiva de la teoría de redes. El análisis está dividido en dos partes: la primera es la formulación de un modelo basado en la teoría de redes que permita dar cuenta del fenómeno migratorio, de sus rasgos más característicos, y que sirva de marco de referencia para el análisis. La segunda parte involucra el uso de los datos obtenidos en el censo de 2005 para analizar los patrones de migración en Colombia y de esta forma poder dar indicios sobre la dinámica de este fenómeno en el país. Se encontró que Bogotá y Valle del Cauca concentran la mayor recepción de inmigrantes, y que una parte importante de los departamentos son expulsores.
