La experiencia del cruzado en Brasil: una lección de macroeconomía

Abstract

Durante la década de los cincuentas la tasa promedio de inflación en Brasil apenas superó el 20.0% anual. En los sesentas el promedio se duplicó hasta 44% anual, explicado por la aceleración del crecimiento de los precios que siguió a los programas de ajuste, adoptados a mediados de la década. El "milagro" brasilero no fueacompanado de inflación, la tendencia descendente llevó los precios hasta un 14% en 1973.
