Migración internacional y educación: una aproximación al efecto sobre la asistencia escolar en Colombia

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es explorar el vínculo entre la migración internacional y la asistenciaescolar en Colombia, en el ano 2005. Para ello se usaron los datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Demografía y Salud (ENDS), aplicada por Profamilia en el mismo ano. Considerando posibles problemas de endogeneidad se estimaron modelos Probit usando el método de dos etapas no lineales. No se encontró evidencia estadística de que la migración internacional hubiera afectado la probabilidad de asistir a la escuela.
