El trabajo invisible de las campesinas del tercer mundo

Abstract

Hace un análisis sobre la "in visibilidad " del trabajo de la mujer campesina en las regiones del Tercer Mundo, la cual, es el resultado de factores de índole diferente. Entre estos, destaca el énfasis en la economía mercantil, que reconoce como actividades productivas solamente aquellas que producen valores de cambio, ignorando aquellas que producen valores de uso, lo cual ha llevado entre otras, a que se construyan indicadores que no revelan la dimensión del trabajo de las campesinas.Además del carácter unidimensional de la ciencia económica, se considera que otros factores que implican la invisibilidad del trabajo de la campesina son el modelo de familia patriarcal por un lado y la propiedad privada de la tierra por otro. A nivel social, el ignorar el trabajo de la mujer campesina, implica que se disenen estrategias que contrariamente a lo esperado, están reproduciendo los ciclos de pobreza rural, conllevan a una baja en la producción básica doméstica y agudizan el deterioro de los términos de intercambio
