Interrupción estudiantil en la década 2000: el caso UACJ

Abstract

La apertura del acceso mundial a la educación implica una tendencia positiva en la matriculación de estudiantes y el caso del nivel universitario en México no es la excepción. Paradójicamente, este incremento conlleva el riesgo de traducirse en un incremento en la tasa de abandono escolar que se inicia con la interrupción de los estudios. Si bien es reconocido que las características individuales de cada estudiante marcan la pauta para las trayectorias académicas persiste la interrogante que sugiere ¿Cuáles circunstancias diferencian a un individuo que interrumpe sus estudios de uno que no lo hace?. El presente trabajo proporciona respuestas al respecto revisando el caso de los programas de pregrado de la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez(UACJ) en la década 2000 puntualizando algunas características y especificidades de esta comunidad universitaria, así como diversos planteamientos obtenidos pormedio del análisis de panel de datos.
