Les consequences agricoles d'un elargissement selectif de l'Union europeenne

Abstract

Cet article etudie les consequences agricoles d'un elargissement selectif de l'Union europeenne a partir de cinq pays ou l'agriculture est importante. La Pologne, la Hongrie et la Republique tcheque font partie du premier elargissement, la Bulgarie et la Roumanie en sont exclues. Apres un retour sur leurs echanges agricoles actuels, le degre de similarite des exportations agricoles des cinq pays est evalue pour mesurer la concurrence qu'ils se livrent sur le marche europeen. Le calcul de l'indicateur d'avantages comparatifs reveles par le commerce exterieur permet ensuite de preciser la specialisation de chacun d'eux. Les resultats demontrent la necessite de preparer rapidement le second elargissement, des effets de detournement de commerce significatifs etant notamment a redouter pour les pays exclus.
