Multinationales emergentes : un modele coreen ?

Abstract

L'internationalisation tres rapide des groupes coreens dans les annees quatre-vingt-dix a suggere des comparaisons avec l'experience des multinationales japonaises au cours des annees quatre-vingt. Dans les annees quatre-vingt, les multinationales coreennes appartenaient encore au groupe des "multinationales du Tiers Monde". Mais, dans les annees quatre-vingt-dix, les multinationales coreennes ne se contentaient plus d'investir dans des pays voisins et dans des industries a forte intensite de main-d'œuvre. En effet, les grands groupes, qui avaient entrepris une marche forcee a la mondialisation, s'implantaient a la fois dans les pays en voie de developpement et dans les pays industrialises. De plus, une partie substantielle des IDE en Amerique du Nord et en Europe sont dans des secteurs intensifs en capital ou en R&D.
