Energie- und Klimapolitik: Effekte eines europäischen Ansatzes auf Preise, Versorgungssicherheit und CO2-Emissionen in Deutschland

Abstract

Was bringt die Europäische Union (EU) dem Wirtschaftsstandort Deutschland? Dieser Beitrag berechnet anhand unterschiedlicher politischer Szenarien den Vorteil in Form von geringeren Strom- und CO2-Preisen einer europäischen Kooperation beim Klimaschutz sowie beim Ausbau des internationalen Übertragungsnetzes. Sollte jedes Land in Europa Klimaschutz allein betreiben und Netze nach 2035 nicht mehr ausbauen, so beläuft sich der deutsche (europäische) Nachteil auf 66 (248) Mrd. Euro im Zeitraum 2024 bis 2050. Der Gesamtvorteil von mehr Klimaschutz und mehr Netzausbau liegt bei 16 (71) Mrd. Euro.
