Materialengpässe in der Industrie: Wer ist betroffen, und wie reagieren die Unternehmen?

Abstract

Produktionshemmnisse aufgrund von Materialmangel in der Industrie haben in den vergangenen Monaten neue Rekordniveaus erreicht. Dies geht aus den Konjunkturumfragen des ifo Instituts hervor. Zum einen gibt es eine physische Knappheit bei bestimmten Gütern, und zum anderen sind die Einkaufspreise für Vorprodukte und Rohstoffe deutlich gestiegen. Zwar konnten viele Unternehmen die weiterhin sehr gute Nachfrage teilweise aus ihrem Fertigwarenlager bedienen, diese haben sich aber inzwischen deutlich geleert. Zudem berichten immer mehr Unternehmen von Preiserhöhungsplänen. Jedoch sind nicht alle Unternehmen in der Lage, die gestiegenen Einkaufspreise an ihre eigenen Kunden weiterzugeben.
