Zur Plausibilisierung von Konsumprognosen mittels der Input-Output-Rechnung

Abstract

In der Konjunkturprognose des ifo Instituts spielt die Analyse und Vorhersage der wirtschaftlichen Aktivität nach Wirtschaftsbereichen eine wichtige Rolle. Grund hierfür ist die detaillierte Verfügbarkeit von Konjunkturindikatoren aus der ifo Konjunkturumfrage. Für Verwendungsaggregate wie bspw. die privaten Konsumausgaben stehen nur wenige Indikatoren mit ausreichender Prognosegüte zur Verfügung, was die Abschätzung der weiteren Entwicklung erschwert. Dieser Aufsatz präsentiert einen Plausibilisierungsansatz für die Konsumprognosen, die auf der Entstehungsrechnung und den Input-Output-Tabellen des Statistischen Bundesamts beruht. Die jüngere Historie zeigt, dass der Plausibilisierungsansatz Wachstumsraten für die privaten Konsumausgaben erzeugt, die sehr nah an den vom Statistischen Bundesamt publizierten liegen. Somit kann dieser Ansatz auch verwendet werden, um ein konsistentes Prognosebild zwischen Entstehungs- und Verwendungsrechnung zu zeichnen.
