Diversifizierung in der Landwirtschaft

Abstract

Diversifizierung in der landwirtschaftlichen Praxis heißt, neue Betriebszweige aufzubauen, die nicht originär der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion zuzurechnen sind, die jedoch auf typische Ressourcen eines landwirtschaftlichen Betriebes zurückgreifen. Auf einzelbetrieblicher Ebene wird der Aufbau eines weiteren wirtschaftlichen Standbeins häufig dann in Erwägung gezogen, wenn Expansionsmöglichkeiten in der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion selbst nicht bestehen, die Bewirtschafterfamilie jedoch über ausreichend Arbeitskräfte verfügt. Die Diversifizierung ist ein wesentliches Merkmal landwirtschaftlichen Strukturwandels, das bisher jedoch, anders als die Größenentwicklung und das Ausscheiden von Betrieben, statistisch kaum erfasst wurde.
