Umweltinnovationen in Deutschland – Ergebnisse der zweiten Befragungswelle

Abstract

2009 wurden die ersten Ergebnisse einer Studie zum Thema Entstehung, Diffusion und Wirkungen von Umwelt- bzw. Nachhaltigkeitsinnovationen vorgestellt (vgl. ifo Schnelldienst Nr. 14/2009). Dazu führte das ifo Institut eine branchenübergreifende Unternehmensbefragung und eine Patentanalyse auf der Basis der Datenbank des Europäischen Patentamts durch. Die Befragungen decken den Zeitraum 2004 bis 2006 sowie 2007 bis 2009 ab. In diesem Beitrag werden die Ergebnisse der zweiten Erhebung wiedergegeben und trendmäßige Veränderungen gegenüber dem ersten Befragungszeitraum betrachtet. Insgesamt zeigt sich dabei, dass sich – vielfach gestützt durch entsprechende politische Rahmenbedingungen – die Umweltinnovationsaktivitäten trotz des schwierigen gesamtwirtschaftlichen Umfelds gut behaupten.
