Zur zukünftigen Entwicklung der Lebenserwartung in den G7-Ländern – Modellrechnungen bis 2050

Abstract

In den meisten hoch entwickelten Ländern ist die Lebenserwartung im letzten Jahrhundert stark angestiegen. 2004 legte Eckart Bomsdorf, Universität zu Köln, Modellrechnungen zur zukünftigen Entwicklung der Lebenserwartung in Deutschland vor. In diesem vom Bomsdorf zusammen mit Bernhard Babel, Universität zu Köln, verfassten Beitrag werden diese Berechnungen erweitert und Modellrechnungen zur zukünftigen Entwicklung der Lebenserwartung in den G7-Ländern vorgestellt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen einen weiteren Anstieg der Lebenserwartung in den betrachteten Ländern; außerdem deuten die jüngsten Trends auf einen Rückgang der Unterschiede zwischen der Lebenserwartung von Frauen und Männern hin.
