Abstract

Die Unternehmensdatenbank der Weltbank stellt Indikatoren bereit, anhand derer sich unternehmensbezogene Regulierungen von mehr als 130 Ländern vergleichen lassen, unter anderem auch Daten und Informationen zur Gründung von Unternehmen. Danach können kleine und mittelgroße Unternehmen in Kanada, Neuseeland, Australien und in den Vereinigten Staaten besonders schnell und mit geringen Kosten gegründet werden, während sich Unternehmensneugründungen in den mittel- und osteuropäischen Ländern relativ langwierig und teuer gestalten. Deutschland nimmt eine mittlere Position ein. Anfang 2004 waren neun Genehmigungen, für die insgesamt 45 Tage erforderlich waren, bei einer Neugründung einzuholen.
