Wohnungsfertigstellungen in Europa bis 2005: Weiter anhaltende Abwärtstendenz

Abstract

2002 wurden in den 19 europäischen Ländern, die in der Euroconstruct-Gruppe zusammenarbeiten, nochmals fast 2 Mill. Wohnungen in neuen Wohngebäuden fertiggestellt. Bis 2005 wird nach den Vorausschätzungen der Euroconstruct-Partnerinstitute, die sich im Juni in Budapest zur 55. Euroconstruct-Konferenz trafen, ein Rückgang auf 1,94 Mill. Wohnungen erwartet, und es erscheint unsicher, ob damit bereits der Tiefpunkt erreicht ist. Die Abwärtstendenz hält sowohl im Eigenheimbau als auch bei Mehrfamiliengebäuden weiter an. Die Entwicklung verläuft allerdings in den einzelnen Ländern stark unterschiedlich: Während es in Mittelosteuropa weiter aufwärts geht, setzt sich die Rezession im Wohnungsneubau, insbesondere bei Eigenheimen, in Westeuropa, und hier vor allem in Spanien, aber auch Frankreich, Irland und Portugal, noch fort.
