Wettbewerbsposition der Industrie hat trotz höherem Euro noch wenig gelitten

Abstract

Nach den Ergebnissen einer aktuellen telefonischen Umfrage, die das ifo Institut im Auftrag der Wirtschaftswoche im Januar bei 1 000 Unternehmen durchgeführt hat, hat die Wettbewerbsposition deutscher Untermnehmen bisher durch den höheren Euro-Kurs noch keinen größeren Schaden erlitten. Der Besserungstrend, der im zweiten Halbjahr 2002 von den Unternehmen beobachtet worden war, scheint aber vorbei zu sein. Mit weiter steigendem Euro-Kurs dürften die negativen Einflüsse auf die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit die Oberhand gewinnen. Es ist dann zu befürchten, dass die Exporte, das bisher einzige Zugpferd der Konjunktur, deutlich weniger stark wachsen.
