Prognose 2002/2003: Chancen für einen neuen Aufschwung

Abstract

In seiner neuesten Konjunkturprognose geht das ifo Institut davon aus, dass die konjunkturelle Lage in Deutschland nach wie vor von großer Labilität geprägt und die Erholung nicht gefestigt ist. Trotz alledem deuten die bisher vorliegenden Indikatoren darauf hin, dass sich die begonnene wirtschaftliche Erholung fortsetzt. Insgesamt rechnet das ifo Institut mit einem BIP-Wachstum von 0,7%. Für das nächste Jahr wird eine Rate von 2,3 % veranschlagt. Die Zahl der Arbeitslosen wird auch in den nächsten Monaten saisonbereinigt die 4-Millionen-Marke überschreiten. Erst in den Herbstmonaten ist mit einer allmählich sinkenden Tendenz zu rechnen. Im Jahresdurchschnitt 2002 dürfte die Arbeitslosenzahl mit 4,035 Mill. um mehr als 180 000 höher sein als im Jahr 2001. Im Jahr 2003 wird sich der Rückgang der Arbeitslosigkeit zwar beschleunigen, mit rund 3,9 Mill. registrierten Arbeitslosen im Jahresdurchschnitt bleibt die Zahl aber immer noch erschreckend hoch. Die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte sich auf 9,2% belaufen, nach 9,5 % in diesem Jahr.
