Verarbeitendes Gewerbe in der Rezession

Abstract

Das verarbeitende Gewerbe in Deutschland ist im Verlauf des Jahres 2001 in die Rezession geraten. Der drastische Nachfragerückgang und die dementsprechend nach unten gerichtete Produktionsentwicklung zieht sich durch fast alle Branchen des verarbeitenden Gewerbes. Die einzige der großen Industriebranchen, die von der weltweiten Abschwächung bisher nur moderat tangiert wurde, ist die Automobilindustrie. Im kommenden Jahr wird die Produktionsentwicklung nur durch ein sehr geringes Wachstum, das im Jahresdurchschnittsvergleich kaum von Stagnation zu unterscheiden ist, gekennzeichnet sein.
