Das deutsche Gesundheitssystem im internationalen Vergleich: Bewertung und Reformalternativen

Abstract

Die Ausgaben für Gesundheitsdienstleistungen sind in Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich außergewöhnlich hoch. Aber trotz der hohen Aufwendungen erreichen die Bürger eine eher mäßig lange Lebenserwartung bei Gesundheit. Das heißt, die ökonomische Effizienz des Gesundheitssystems ist gering. Ein Vergleich, der von der WHO für 191 Länder durchgeführt wurde und die Höhe der Gesundheitsaufwendungen den Lebensjahren in Gesundheit gegenüberstellt, unterstreicht dies.
