Inflation - wie gemessen?

Abstract

Im abgelaufenen Jahr hat sich in Deutschland der Preisauftrieb auf der Verbraucherstufe deutlich beschleunigt, über die Höhe gibt es aber - je nach verwendetem Preisindex - unterschiedliche Angaben. Gemessen am Preisindex für die Lebenshaltung aller privaten Haushalte stiegen die Preise im Jahr 2000 um 1,9%, gemessen am harmonisierten Verbraucherpreisindex (HVPI) für Deutschland sogar um rund 2%, gemessen am Deflator des privaten Verbrauchs allerdings nur um 1,4%.
