Italien: Konjunktur und Preise im Aufwind

Abstract

Nach einer Stagnation in der zweiten Hälfte 1998 haben sich Produktion und Nachfrage in Italien leicht erholt. 1999 nahm das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) um 1,4% zu. Die Beschäftigung stieg um 1,2%, und die Arbeitslosenquote sank im Jahresdurchschnitt auf 11,3% (1998: 11,9%). Die Konsumgüterpreise lagen um 1,7% über dem Niveau von 1998. Im Jahr 2000 wird sich die konjunkturelle Erholung fortsetzen und an Breite gewinnen. Das reale BIP dürfte bei immer noch stimulierender Wirtschaftspolitik um 2 3/4 % expandieren, die Arbeitslosen auf etwa 10 3/4 % abnehmen und der Preisauftrieb bei reichlich 2 1/2 % liegen. Im Verlauf des nächsten Jahres ist mit einer allmählichen konjunkturellen Verlangsamung zu rechnen. Für das reale BIP wird ein Wachstum von etwa 2 1/2 % prognostiziert. Die Beschäftigung dürfte um etwa 1 % zunehmen, und die Konsumentenpreise werden vermutlich um 2 1/4% über dem Niveau des Jahres 2000 liegen.
