Abstract

Die von der Regierungskoalition beschlossene Steuerreform löst heftige Kontroversen aus. Auch nach mehreren Runden des Vermittlungsausschusses konnte kein Kompromiss zwischen Regierung und Opposition erzielt werden, die Nachbesserungen werden als unzureichend zurückgewiesen. In seinem Beitrag plädiert Prof. Dr. Hermann Remsperger, Mitglied des Direktoriums der Deutschen Bundesbank, für eine stärkere Senkung der Einkommensteuersätze und einen flacheren Tarifverlauf. Deutliche Verbesserungen für den Mittelstand fordert Heinrich Traublinger, Präsident der Handwerkskammer für München und Oberbayern. Prof. Dr. Franz W Wagner, Universität Tübingen, spricht sich für eine konsequente Entwicklung der Konsumorientierung des Steuersystems aus.
