Westdeutsche Industrie: Kapazitätsauslastung kräftig gestiegen

Abstract

Nach den von der Europäischen Kommission veröffentlichten Daten nutzte die Industrie im Durchschnitt der EU-Länder ihre Produktionsanlagen zu Beginn des vierten Quartals 1999 mit 81,8 % wieder etwas intensiver als im Juli (81,2 %). Für Deutschland liegen die im Rahmen des ifo Konjunkturtests erhobenen Daten bereits für den Berichtsmonat Dezember vor: Im westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbe (ohne Nahrungs- und Genussmittel) ist die Kapazitätsauslastung erneut gestiegen: Mit 87,0 % (saison- und witterungsbereinigt) waren die Anlagen wesentlich besser genutzt als im September (86,0 %). Dennoch reichten die Auftragsreserven mit 2,8 Produktionsmonaten etwas weiter als Ende des dritten Quartals (2,7 Monate). In den neuen Bundesländern ist der Auslastungsgrad dagegen von 82,3 % im September auf 81,4 % im Dezember gesunken, und die Reichweite der Auftragsbestände hat sich von 3,3 auf 2,9 Monate verkürzt. Für das erste Quartal 2000 hatten die Unternehmen beider Berichtskreise Produktionssteigerungen geplant.
