Planung der westdeutschen Industrie bis 2000 : weiter deutlich steigende Produktivität

Abstract

Im Rahmen der 55. Prognose 100 fragte das ifo Institut im ersten Quartal 1999 wieder mittlere und große westdeutsche Industrieunternehmen nach ihren Personal-, Umsatz- und Investitionsplänen. Abweichend von den vergangenen Erhebungen beziehen sich die Meldungen der westdeutschen Firmen neuerdings auf Standorte im gesamten Bundesgebiet. Nach einer wieder etwas stärkeren Reduzierung der Mitarbeiterzahl in diesem Jahr (-1%) dürfte sich der Personalbestand im Jahr 2000 stabilisieren. Sowohl für 1999 als auch für 2000 rechnen die Unternehmen mit einem Umsatzwachstum von etwa 5%. Nach den derzeitigen Plänen sollen die Investitionsausgaben nach heuer 9% im nächsten Jahr nur noch um 2% gesteigert werden.
