Baukonjunktur 1997/98 in Westeuropa : Wachstumsbremse trotz zunehmender Dynamik

Abstract

Nach Differenzierung der Analysen und Prognosen in die fünf Bereiche Wohnungsneubau, Wirtschafts- und öffentlicher Hochbau sowie Renovierung und Modernisierung hatte die Altbauerneuerung mit einem Wert von 720 Milliarden ECU bzw. mit 35% den höchsten Anteil am gesamten Bauvolumen. Es folgt der Wohnungsneubau mit einem Viertel und der Tiefbau mit gut einem Fünftel. Während der Wohnungsneubau im Durchschnitt der betrachteten Länder 1997 und 1998 leicht zurückgeht und auch die Zahl der fertiggestellten Wohungen erneut sinkt, nehmen die Bestandsmaßnahmen, die sich schon in der Vergangenheit als "Stabiliserungsfaktor" erwiesen, beschleunigt zu (+ 1,9 bzw. + 3,3%). Das Bauvolumen insgesamt expandiert 1998 nach aktuellen Prognosen im Durchschnitt um 1,7%.
