Abstract

Der vorliegende Artikel gibt die wichtigsten Ergebnisse der "ifo Bauvorausschätzung/Regionen in Westdeutschland", Ausgabe 1997-2000, wieder. Demnach wird erkenntlich, daß die Talfahrt der Wohnungsbaukonjunktur eine Annäherung der regionalen Entwicklung mit sich bringt. Der Süden bleibt künftig zwar immer noch "wohnungsbauintensiver" als der Norden, das Tempo, mit dem sich Bayern und Baden-Würtemberg in der Vergangenheit nach oben abgesetzt haben, konnte jedoch nicht gehalten werden. Vor allem beim längerfristigen Wachstum finden die nördlichen Regionen Anschluß an den südlichen Raum.
