Demographisch bedingte Arbeitslosigkeit in Deutschland

Abstract

Während der ifo Jahresversammlung 1994 vertrat der Direktor des Instituts für Angewandte Wirtschaftsforschung (IAW), Tübingen, Prof. Dr. Adolf Wagner, die Ansicht, daß die wachsende strukturelle Arbeitslosigkeit in Deutschland demographische Ursachen habe. Der Bericht faßt die Argumente und Berechnungen zur "bevölkerungsbedingten" Arbeitslosigkeit zusammen. Die Hauptaussage des Denk-Modells ist, daß die Beschäftigungs- und die Bevölkerungskomponente der Arbeitslosigkeit eine gleichgewichtige oder natürliche Arbeitslosenquote in Deutschland verursachen. Die Erkentnisse basieren auf Daten der Arbeitslosenquoten, Beschäftigungszahlen und Bevölkerungszahlen von 1960 bis 1994.
