Abstract

Der Konjunkturbericht über die Niederlande geht zunächst von den Rahmenbedingungen, die für den Prognosezeitraum vorherrschen aus. Demnach sind die Konsoldierung der Staatsfinanzen und die Redimensionierung des Wohlfahrtstaates die wichtigsten Themen. Die Wirtschaftsentwicklung 1993 wird über die Kennzahlen reales Bruttoinlandsprodukt, Bruttoanlageninvestition, privater Konsum, öffentlicher Verbrauch, Export, Import, Leistungsbilanz, Arbeitslosenquote und Konsumentenpreise analysiert. Gestützt auf Graphiken über Industrieproduktion, Preise und Löhne, Außenhandel, Währungsreserven und Zinssätze sowie den Veränderungsraten des realen BIP wird die Wirtschaftsentwicklung für die Jahre 1994 bis 1995 prognostiziert. So wird festgestellt, daß die Niederlande die Rezession glimpflich überstanden hat. Für 1994 wird eine schwache konjunkturelle Belebung, für 1995 ein beschleunigtes Wachstum vorhergesagt. Dabei wirkt die konsoldierungsorientierte Geld- und Finanzpolitik stimulierend. Demnach wird der Preisanstieg mäßig ausfallen. Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt wird eine deutliche Verschlechterung erwartet. Die Leistungsbilanz wird weiterhin Überschüsse ausweisen.
