Klima erhöht Gasabsatz - Kurz- und langfristig starke Nachfrageimpulse

Abstract

Eine überdurchschnittlich kalte Witterung bescherte den Erdgasverkäufern in den alten Bundesländern 1991 einen Zuwachs um rund 8%. Wegen der drohenden Verstärkung des Treibhauseffektes werden auch die langfristigen Marktchancen des relativ emissionsarmen Erdgases in den aktuellen Prognosen erneut besser beurteilt. Unterdessen wird bei mehr als zwei Drittel aller Neubauwohnungen Erdgas als Heizenergie favorisiert. Um auch künftig die Versorgungssicherheit zu gewährleisten, haben die Ferngasgesellschaften nicht nur zusätzliche Importmengen kontrahiert, sondern ihre Aktivitäten beim Ausbau von Speichern und des europaweiten Gasverbundes weiter verstärkt.
