Baukonjunktur in Westeuropa : starke Impulse vom Tiefbau

Abstract

Ende Juni trafen sich Experten aus 13 Ländern in London zur Sommerkonferenz der EURO-CONSTRUCT-Studiengemeinschaft. Im Durchschnitt der untersuchten Länder wird sich die Baukonjunktur 1990 und 1991 etwas abkühlen. Nach Zuwachsraten von 5,8 und 5,6% in den Jahren 1988 und 1989 rechnen die beteiligten Institute für dieses Jahr mit einer Zunahme der Bauproduktion um 2,2% und für nächstes Jahr mit einer Steigerung um 1,5%. Zu der langsameren Expansion tragen die hohen Zinsen aber auch der teilweise sprunghafte Anstieg der Immobilienpreise, bei; von Engpässen bei der Bereitstellung neuer Baugrundstücke, vom Mangel an qualifizierten Arbeitskräften sowie von der restriktiven Haushaltspolitik gehen in einigen Ländern ebenfalls dämpfende Wirkungen aus.
